Your Annual Terrifying Mel Gibson Rant

2012 has been a great year. I’ve run 200 miles, gone on a couple vacations, tried a poached egg for the first time (NOPE), and seen the reincarnation of Tupac on stage.
However, despite it being 4 months in, I’ve still been feeling as though the year hadn’t been properly kicked off. For the last few days I’ve meditated on the subject, considering the possibilities, when POW, it hit me in the face this morning like a pile of bricks: I hadn’t gotten my yearly dose of Mel Gibson’s horrifying temper recorded for the world to hear yet!!
According to Videogum, screenwriter Joe Ezterhas wrote an open letter to Mel Gibson claiming that in the span of their working together (writing the now-defunct screenplay “The Maccabees”) Gibson was racist, anti-Semetic, misogynistic, and more. Although Mel Gibson denied the claims, Ezterhas had more evidence in the form of an audio recording his son took during one of Gibson’s rants. AND JOY TO THE WORLD, that recording has made it online for all to hear. So if you, like me, felt that this year has been just a bit off, don’t worry.
Here’s the recording right here. You can finally take a deep breath, walk into the sunshine, and drop F-bombs like it’s REALLY 2012.
