Women Should Spice Up Their Sex Lives In 2011
**FIRST OF ALL, REAL QUICK. The company that put this poll on, Wet lubricants, claims to be the best-selling line of intimacy products in the world, which is one of those claims that makes me wonder if there is any sort of moral obligation to tell the TRUTH in advertising. I mean, OBC is the #1 casual dating site in the world – DUH, because who could possibly compete with 6 million members, DUH. But “Wet”? I have literally never heard of any product in my life called “Wet” and I am basically a walking Index of the Hustler Store. KY, Astroglide, I’ve even heard of Gun Oil and that’s almost exclusively engineered for gay men. But Wet? Nope. Nothin’. Nice try, statisticians.***
Anyway, a poll by Wet, “manufacturer of the world’s best-selling line of intimacy products,” claims that in 2011, women should really work on spicing up their sex life. According to the results of the poll, 82% of women indicated that they wish their sex life was more exciting. 51% of the women in a relationship claimed they wish they just had more sex, 20% said they were actually unsatisfied with their sex life, and 65% have given sex as a holiday gift.
As a whole, I approve of these results. Women should absolutely take the time to make sex more of a priority, not just because sex is Totes McGoats Awesome Sauce, but also because if you recall last week, we discussed the ways that sex is great for your health inside and out! It’s really unfortunate, especially, that women in relationships are unsatisfied with their sex lives, although I can make a few guesses as to why, 1) lack of body confidence, and 2) lack of sexual confidence, and 3) gas.
Once again, though, I call the legitimacy of said poll into question, because who are these ladies that a LUBE COMPANY is polling? Did they just make the rounds to local sex shop employees and ask them? Because I don’t picture over 80% of your average Vons-shopping, minivan-driving, Starbucks-buying female population to admit (or even believe) that their sex life is unsatisfying. That’s like polling all the women on OBC about whether or not they think booty calls are a fun way to spend their single life and then claiming that “100% of women in the world are totally down to booty call!” It’s just not the case. While I’d like to think that a large percentage of ladies would be willing to be more adventurous or sexual in their day to day lives, something just tells me that’s probably not exactly accurate.
Moral of the story, ladies, have more sex! Moral of the story, businesses, at least TRY and make your “polls” believable.
