Women are Having Sex ‘Out of Obligation’
The amount of “statistics” that come out about sex every day is mind-boggling. One minute you hear that women are just as into sex as men, and then the next they’d rather eat than get busy. What is a sex-blogger to believe these days?
It seems, though, that one consensus we can come to is that women aren’t getting what they really NEED in their sex lives, which leads to them caring more about being desirable than fulfilling desires. That seems to be the case out of this study discussed in the DailyMail, which suggests that women are “having sex out of obligation, not enjoyment.”
According to the study, which asked 1,051 women about their sex lives,
51 per cent of the respondents believed that having sex a few times a week is considered sexually healthy, just 30 per cent had that much sex and 66 per cent had sex once a week or less. [Furthermore], only 42 per cent of women believe that sexual health is very or extremely important to their overall health.
Yikes… looks like women aren’t getting the bedroom time they need, especially considering that contrary to what they believe, sex is actually very beneficial to their health! So what can men do to help women start desiring and enjoying sex as much as their male counterparts? Letting them know you find them sexy, as opposed to just saying you want sex, for one. Also, asking them directly what it is that turns them on, and how you can help them feel sexy are key aspects that can completely change the sexual dynamic.
If we all work as a team (and maybe take a few pages out of the Dutch handbook), we can create a super-race of sex-healthy humans who enjoy sex as much as they have sex. GET TO WORK, TEAM.
