I remember learning how to play the spoons in kindergarten (dear god, what is this, Nostalgiaday?) from a lady who traveled to different schools in the city and, well… showed kids how to learn the spoons. Even at 5 years old, I remember thinking, “there is NO WAY this woman has made a career out of teaching kindergarteners how to slap spoons against their thighs! HOW DOES SHE SURVIVE?!”

Looking back, I realize she was probably just a nice lady with some spare time who decided to spend it with children, instead of say, chain smoking and playing slots at an Indian casino.
