Spring is here, and that means it’s time for a dating profile REVAMP. It’s been a while since we gave tips for uploading your best, non-repulsive profile pic to OBC. Lets make sure your profile pic is right PICK, shall we?

1. Remember to maximize your assets, downplay your, um, not assets.

Got a gorgeous smile, but maybe could use a couple core workouts? Show off those pearly whites! Of course, we’re not saying to LIE about your flaws, but why not take your most favorite feature and show it off? And if you need help, ask an honest friend to tell you your best feature – and maybe help snap a pic that puts that feature front and center.

2. Keep the boozy photos to a first or second drink maximum

We all love going out and letting off some steam, but no one’s going to spot a pic of you with your eyelids drooping and beer stains all over your shirt and think “yes, that is absolutely what I want to wake up to.” And ladies, if a guy DOES like that, he probably isn’t the most trustworthy. Just sayin’.

3. Show off your skills (not your bad habits)

Maybe you’re the occasional toker, or have a nicotine habit you’d like to drop. No need to highlight that in your profile pic. Instead, show off your skills or hobbies! Maybe you’re a great fly-fisher or love music festivals or can skateboard like a young Tony Hawk or can whip up Top Chef level cuisine. Upload a picture of you doing things that will make people go “hell yeah” not “f*** no.”

4. Keep the filters to a minimum

No one’s gonna fault you for brightening up those dark circles or turning up the contrast to show off your baby blues. But Snapchat puppy filters and Face-Tuning yourself beyond recognition is a mega no-no if you ever plan to meet anyone in person!

5. Above all, be yourself

All this advice be damned. If you wanna take a picture of yourself looking like a He-Man Oompa Loompa hybrid, go on whicho bad self and DO IT. You want to attract people who like you for you, after all. But, you know, just give yourself a couple minutes of reflection before hitting “upload.”
