TMZ’s Beyonce Headline Gets a Tweak
As I’m sure you know, because you are a bipedal species with access to the internet, that hip hop gods Jay-Z and Beyonce gave birth to their first child, a baby girl named Blue Ivy, this weekend at the Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC. Every website was abuzz – trying to figure out the baby’s name (is it Blue Ivy or Ivy Blue?! I MUST KNOW), debating on whether the duo’s security measures were over the top (were other patients “neglected”?), and tearing up over the just-released single from Jay-Z (the couple apparently suffered a miscarriage in a previous pregnancy).
However, the biggest story on the subject is whether or not Beyonce gave birth to her baby naturally or via C-section, because you know how much that highly intimate detail is all of our business and everything. The new family cleared up the news, with Jay-Z announcing that Blue Ivy “was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.” Of course, TMZ is the go -to source for all things TMI, and they broke the news with the headline “Blue Ivy’s Birth Was Natural.” However, they may have taken the TMI a bit too far with the headline they originally chose for the news, which BuzzFeed cached for all of our enjoyment:
I’m pretty much obligated not to bash TMZ, considering a majority of our celebrity news comes from the all-powerful gossip site, but we gotta send a shake of the head and a “tisk, tisk” over in their direction. Hope that writer got a talking to for the abhorrently poor taste.
And now, back to Sharting News.
