YourOpenbook.org is a website created to show people how private (or not so private) Facebook became during the shift to a more public social network. It was a really interesting idea in theory, but I don’t think it was really used for that purpose. At all. In fact the only times I’ve ever used YourOpenBook were to spend hours (I am not kidding. Hours.) bored with friends making fun of the ridiculous crap that people would write as their status updates. Things like “everyone shut up im not pregnant im jus fat,” and the like.

So obviously, after the US sadly lost to the Japanese women’s soccer team in the World Cup yesterday, you just HAD to check out the hilariously racist and depressing things that people were posting as their statuses. And GUESS WHAT, they did NOT disappoint. (Some of this language is NSFW, prepare yourself.)
