Weekend To-Dos: VEGAS
It’s the weekend after Halloween, I know, and you might feel like you exerted all your partying muscles last week, but by all the power that is vested in birthday-week-me, I demand that you make this weekend awesome, in honor of yours truly. So in honor of ME, and because there’s a heat wave in town, I give you the three things you have to do this weekend, VEGAS (or wherever you are, but preferably VEGAS) STYLE.
1) Zumanity, Friday night at the New York New York hotel
Zumanity is one of the greatest Cirque Du Soleil shows around, known for its “blend[ing] playful innuendo with daring eroticism.” If you’re single in Vegas (or have brought a long a weekend “buddy”), this is just the show to get you in the mood before a night on the strip. If you’re not in Vegas, you can find a show at the Cirque Du Soleil website.
2) Far East Movement at Surrender Night Club
If you haven’t heard the “Like a G6” song on the radio yet, then, well, you might want to hit up the ear doctor for severe ear damage because you HAVE. It’s the party jam of Summer 2010, and since apparently the summer decided to exist in November, it’s finally the time to start dancing to it. Luckily this weekend the group behind the hit is at Vegas’ newest club, Surrender, in the Encore hotel. Be there, take some shots, and DANCE. And if you’re not in Vegas, just go to ANY CLUB ANYWHERE EVER, because that song will be playing. GUARANTEED.
3) Wet Republic at the MGM Grand, Sunday at 11 am
This could potentially be your last weekend to enjoy the sun, so tear up the MGM Grand’s Sunday morning pool party before heading home to reality. It’s got great music and hot bodies all around, so go soak up the last few remaining rays of sunlight and enjoy the Vegas scene by prolonging your hangover till Monday. And if you’re unfortunate enough to not be in Vegas, find someone with an above ground pool and mix yourself a crappy margarita. It’ll feel just about the same.
Good luck, and take a shot for me!
