Super Gonnorhea Is Here
We all know that sex without a condom feels better. We’re not dumb. When we talk about safe sex, we know that adding a layer of latex to sexual intercourse is like adding one too many cucumbers to an already perfect sandwich (can you tell it’s lunch time?). It’s not going to RUIN the sandwich, but it’s definitely not how you’d prefer it. However, in this case, the cucumbers could prevent you from contracting sandwich-related diseases, so you EAT THOSE F*CKING SARDINES. In case you needed another reason to glove your junk, here’s something you can’t ignore:
SUPER. GONNORHEA..
That’s right: an über-powerful new strain of gonorrhea is showing up in Europe and Asia that is resistant to cephalsporins – the antibiotic used to treat the disease.
“The continued threat of multidrug-resistant gonorrhea makes protecting against [gonorrhea] more important than before,” said Dr. Lindsey Satterwhite, an epidemiologist in the CDC’s Division of STD Prevention.
What can we do to stop the Cloverfield monster of STDs?
“Wear a condom correctly, think about abstinence, practice monogamy, and get appropriate screening if you’re high risk,” she said
So wear those condoms, kids. It might make your perfect turkey club a little cucumber-y, but hey – cucumbers or gonorrhea? You make the choice.
