This week’s nominee for the #SongoftheSummer is a little bit sad but a little bit joyful – two opposing emotions that have made some of the best songs of all time. Cherry Wine is a previously unreleased song by Nas, featuring the late Amy Winehouse, who passed away last July of alcohol poisoning.

The song is GREAT, and although the track below is just a sneak peak (Nas’ new album doesn’t drop until the 17th), I can’t wait to get a hold of the real single and play it on repeat along with our other summer jams. Nas released a statement about the track, saying, ‘It’s a bittersweet feeling to do something with her now that she’s not here. I’m happy… the sweet part is that we do have the music, fans have new music from her.

‘The bitter part is that she’s no longer here to really give it to us and to really live her music and for us to see her smile and hear her voice.’

Quite the tearjerker, no? Luckily, the song itself is just straight up fantastic. Check it out below!
