You know how sometimes you’re walking down a set of stairs with a stack of precariously stacked items in your hands, like folded clothes or a bunch of glasses from the dinner table, and you think “this is such a bad idea, I’m going to drop all of this all over the floor and probably also trip down the stairs trying to save everything and twist my ankle,” and then lo and behold you DO EXACTLY THAT? And as you’re laying at the bottom of the stairs, holding back angry/pain tears and wondering when someone is going to find you looking like the biggest schlemiel ever, you think to yourself I knew this was going to happen thirty seconds ago, and yet I still did it. What a f***ing idiot.

That’s probably about how Doug Hutchison is feeling right now, because as The Daily Mail reports, the 53-year-old actor is splitting from his 19-year-old wife of two and a half years, Courtney Stodden.

After two and a half years of marriage, Courtney and Doug have decided to become legally separated. This is a mutual and amicable decision that they’re making together. As you know, Courtney was married at a young age. Now, at nineteen, she’s interested in exploring life as an unmarried single young adult — with the freedom to explore her independence. Doug supports Courtney 100%. The two will share custody of their precious pup, Dourtney, remain living in the same house [for now] in separate bedrooms, and Doug will be co-managing Courtney’s career.

And although Courtney got exactly out of this marriage what she wanted: a teensy bit of fame and a set of terrifying ta-tas, it seems that Doug is left with nada – according to Perez Hilton, he’s been kicked out of his house.

So this is it, and two years after we first reported on this match-made-in-barf-heaven relationship, we can finally say, WE TOLD YA SO.
