Ah, the 70s. The peace and love of the 60s was dying out in America, marijuana had lost some of its excitement and the onset of disco lead to more interest in cocaine and ecstasy. The sexual freedom movement had also started to wane, and people started wearing things that looked like this. It was a sad time in the US, that’s for sure.

Over in France, though, they were still (and always will be) a tad bit more passionate than us on this side of the pond. It must be something in the croissants or maybe they just drink a lot of red wine. Needless to say, while Americans were shin-deep in a show about this family, the French were making commercials simulating hand jobs.

I think I was born in the wrong country.
