Sexomnia: A Sexy Epidemic
And to think, I was under the impression this was just called morning wood! A study by LiveScience showed that in a recent polling of people who suffered from sleep disorders, about 7% of them reported initiating sex in the their sleep, and then not recalling it after.
Those who reported it were said to have initiated sex in their sleep with their partner, even to the point of orgasm, and not remember it the next morning.
Apparently, the risk of suffering (suffering?) from sexomnia is higher if you consumer illicit drugs, or even drink too much caffeine or smoke cigarettes. The disease (disease?) seems to be a mixture of sleepwalking and confused arousal, and should be considered a parasomnial disorder (disorder?).
The only problem I see here is if you happen to share a room with someone you aren’t having sex with. And in that case, grow up, dude, get your own room and then maybe you’ll have someone who won’t mind your sexomnia!
