Rupert Murdoch Got a Pie to the Face
Have you been following the current Rupert Murdoch/News Corp scandal? Yeah, me neither. It’s like “aw boo hoo, some sickeningly rich dude might be slightly less sickeningly rich soon, WHAT EVER SHALL I DO?” However, after the video above, which shows some valiant citizen smashing a pie into Murdoch’s face in the middle of a hearing, you might be slightly more inclined to learn more about the story. I know I was. From Wikipedia:
Starting in 2006, there were allegations that individuals working for the News of the World, a British Sunday-only tabloid newspaper (owned by Murdoch) had engaged in phone hacking. While the original allegations were limited to the hacking of celebrities, politicians and members of the British Royal Family, further allegations that victims of the phone hacking included murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler, relatives of deceased British soldiers, and victims of the 7/7 London bombings generated widespread public outrage in the United Kingdom.
On top of the despicable tactics the tabloid used, the scandal gets even deeper – the whistleblower who blew the lid off the hacking scandal was found dead in his apartment yesterday, and British police aren’t investigating it as homicide.
THIS IS SOME MOVIE SH*T UP IN HERE. I predict the blockbuster film being released one year from today, starring Liam Neeson and that guy from Michael Clayton that isn’t George Clooney.
We’ll keep you updated if anything exciting happens.
