While we’d like to think of ourselves as being some of the leaders of Booty Call Nation, we’ve always given props to Director Jeff Pollack, who you may know from the 1997 movie Booty Call or his time directing Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. With that movie, starring Jamie Foxx and Vivica A. Fox, the word “booty call” came into peoples’ vernacular.

Sadly, director Pollack passed away last week, at the young age of 54. According to People Mag, “Pollack collapsed early Monday morning in the Greenbelt jogging area of Hermosa Beach, California, about 20 miles southwest of Los Angeles.”

Although more is not known about his death, we’re saddened to hear of his passing. We respected his open-mindedness, humor, and willingness to direct a movie about a topic many were uncomfortable. RIP, Jeff. You’re our booty hero.
