Real Housewife’s Husband Commits Suicide
On a very un-BCU serious note, death of a loved one is a horrible thing. It’s shocking and painful in a way that no other experience can remotely TOUCH, and to imagine a person purposefully killing themselves is completely unbearable. So when I write this post, keep in mind that this blog is a comedy and satire blog and that honestly, HONESTLY, I feel nothing but sadness and compassion for this woman.
THAT BEING SAID, daaaammmmn. According to a breaking TMZ story, ‘Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ star Taylor Armstrong’s recently estranged husband Russell was found hanging in his closet at his home on Mulholland Drive last night around 8pm. Police believe the death was due to suicide.
Taylor filed for divorce from Russell last month after claiming that he physically abused her. There was no pre-nup and Taylor was filing for primary custody of their 5-year-old daughter. Whether or not the claims of abuse were true is unknown, but we do have to believe that the stress of such a situation would drive just about anyone to the brink. While we’re sure there were underlying mental issues that accompanied the millionaire’s death, we definitely can see having your character defamed on national television (Russell was portrayed as a bad husband, a careless father, and a plain ol’ DRIP) must have contributed to that mental instability.
Reason #40,777 not to get married: the stress of marriage, money, and the media might drive you to kill yourself. Absolutely horrible.
