Rain, The New Cristal
With water becoming increasingly scarce, we’ll soon be fighting off our neighbors for a couple drops of their tap. At clubs, the VIPs will be ordering bottles of water instead of Grey Goose or Cristal, and true players will be out in style with this pristine bottle of Tasmanian Rain.
Just as advertised, the water in this bottle comes from Tasmania, that tiny island south of Australia. Their bold claim: Tasmanian Rain water “is more naturally pure than any bottled water that originates from the ground.”
True to their marketing, their water is cleaner than the rest because they literally collect Tasmanian rain drops, never allowing them to touch the ground. Plus, Tasmanian skies are unspoiled by pollution, so the rain never picks up any harsh ingredients on the way down.
Understandably, the water is not cheap. One case with 12 bottles will cost you around $60 bucks. We’re not convinced the taste will be that incredible, but it’s a pretty cool looking bottle to be carrying around.
The good thing with Tasmanian Rain is that they also work to keep Tasmania environmentally friendly. They do their part to make sure their bottled water is a sustainable effort that won’t be ruining the purity they seek to exploit. They are a carbon neutral company (they offset their carbon emissions) and all of their bottles are 100% recyclable.
The bottle is so inviting, the cause almost noble, we’re likely to see this bottle prosper in the near future. It’s already getting placed in high end hotels like the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons, so it’s only a matter of time before it catches on.
