Playboy’s Girls of the Internet
The year: 1996. Where were you? I was in middle school, and had just gotten TV in my bedroom. Mainly, the TV was used to watch TGIF while talking on the phone with my best friend. And by “talking on the phone” I mean sitting in silence until the commercials and then discussing what we’d just seen. Thank god my parents had unlimited minutes on our house phone or I’m sure my family would have gone bankrupt, all for Boy Meets World.
Somewhere else in the world (probably San Bernadino), Playboy was filming and then releasing this absolutely FANTASTIC WORK OF ART, called “Girls of the Internet.” I mean, I don’t know if Hugh Hefner had a time machine back then, but he sure had an absolutely FLAWLESS idea of what the internet would be like, blurred nipples and all.
