Having just finished the biopic Notorious a couple days ago, I realized that I never really took that big of an interest in the whole Biggie Smalls/Tupac Shakur murder saga that overwhelmed the 90s. It could be because I spent most of that decade under the age of ten and was too busy making sure I got the good swing at recess. Whatever the reason, until my exposure via dramatic reenactment on premium cable, I had no idea the mystery and shock that surrounded the murder cases.

Oddly enough, news sites today are whispering about the Notorious BIG case being ‘reinvigorated.’ According to CNN, “the ongoing investigation… includes the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A. County District Attorney’s Office and the FBI.”
