Newlywed Pushes Husband Off Cliff
We talk smack on marriage sometimes. What can we say? We like us some casual dating, guiltless hookups, and the freedom to do what we want, when we want… and marriage, well… doesn’t really jive with those things. So we’re back this month with some top #ReasonsNotToGetMarried, and thought we’d start off with a doozy:
Yeah, it’s a little dramatic… and pretty rare, but hey, it’s just happened. According to reports, newlyweds Jordan Linn Graham and Cody Lee Johnson were taking a hike in Glacier National Park when they got into an argument. After much yelling,
“Graham turned and began to walk away. She stated Johnson grabbed her by the arm. Graham turned and removed Johnson’s hand from her arm. After removing Johnson’s hand from her arm, Graham stated she could have just walked away, but due to her anger, she pushed Johnson with both hands in the back and as a result, he fell face first off the cliff.”
What’s worse, Jordan then failed to report the incident, and instead went home and claimed she’d last seen him a few days prior. Maybe because she was regretting the marriage altogether… via Gawker:
“Before the incident, Graham had informed a friend that she was having second thoughts about the marriage. And at some point that on the evening of his death, Graham texted her friend: “Oh well, I’m about to talk to him.””
We imagine that conversation is what lead to the argument, which in turn lead to her new husband getting PUSHED OFF A GODDAMN CLIFF. Yeah, we know divorce sucks, but even we would rather go through the pains of a messy legal debate over PUSHING SOMEONE OFF A GODDAMN CLIFF.
Reason #45,202 not to get married: it might kill you (or cause you to kill someone).
