It was Shakespeare who first said, “the lady doth protest too much,” and some other brilliant genius who said “HE WHO SMELT IT DEALT IT” – but the message still rings true. When you deny a statement super hard, it kinda makes you look guilty.

Let’s all welcome back Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’O, who was interviewed yesterday by Katie Couric, who cut straight to the awkward question that everyone’s been wondering – IS THIS WHOLE THING A COVER UP FOR A MORMON GUY WHO’S SECRETLY FLAMIN’?

Well, she phrased it a little nicer. But Te’O’s answer, well, let’s just say HE DOTH PROTEST TOO MUCH:

“Far from it”? “FAAAAAARRRR from it”? I’m not sure what “being far from gay” means, but I’d definitely say that people who say they are far from gay tend to end up being super, super gay.
