Louis CK on SNL: Basically an Ad For OBC
Louis CK hosted SNL this week, and as everyone expected, it was the best of the season so far. Despite the disaster of Hurricane Sandy this past week, the cast brought out the big guns, performing some hilarious sketches (especially the “Lincoln” sketch, which was probably the best thing we will see all year) and even penning a very heartfelt open letter to his fans thanking the cast of SNL and reflecting on the crazy week everyone in New York and New Jersey shared.
However, I particularly loved this “Last Call” sketch starring Louis and newcomer Kate McKinnon – not just because it was hilarious (it was), but it so perfectly captures the awkwardness you can leave behind by joining OBC. No more last call desperation moves at the bar, no more accidentally hooking up with an alleged felon, no more bartenders disgusted at your shameless make out seshes.
It’s funny to watch, but no one should have to suffer this in real life. No one.
