Lebron Named Finals MVP After Heat Win… AGAIN.
Disclaimer: your blogger knows less than nothing about basketball. I watched game six of the finals with some friends and was able to yell at the appropriate times and clap and say “FOUL!” but in reality I was just mimicking what the people next to me were doing. It was embarrassing, I’ll admit. So take this post with a grain of salt. Or several.
Lebron James was named MVP of the 2013 NBA Finals after leading the Heat to victory last night, following a nail-biting series which could have just as easily gone to the San Antonio Spurs. As MVP of the regular season as well, he joined greats Michael Jordan and Bill Russell as “the only players in league history to win back-to-back Finals MVPs and regular-season MVP awards.”
After a double-overtime game 6 on Tuesday, Lebron and the Heat must have been ready to finish the series as they won the final game 95 – 88, with Lebron scoring 37 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, including this impressive 19-footer that helped seal the win.
