It was finally revealed last night on David Letterman’s Late Show that Kate Upton, last year’s “Rookie of the Year,” would take the illustrious role of this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model. The highly coveted spot, which has before been held by the likes of Christie Brinkley, Irina Shayk, and Beyonce, will be graced by the 19-year-old from Michigan, and the photo has finally been released for all of us to drool over.

Unlike many of the past models, Kate’s “fuller” figure (and by fuller I mean NOT QUITE emaciated) is causing a stir in the modelling world, and many are ecstatic that a woman with real curves would be considered perfect enough to take the cover of a magazine full of the most beautiful women in the world.

As for OBC? We say women of all shapes and sizes are beautiful as long as they’re healthy, happy, and DTF. Wait, did I say that out loud?
