Love is patient, love is kind, love is… sometimes just not right. After a whirlwind second romance, 20 years after their first, Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. Turns out, their first instinct not to get married in 2003 WAS RIGHT. Via Daily Mail:

Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after months of split rumors.

The On The Floor hitmaker, 55, filed for divorce without an attorney on Tuesday, August 20 — which also marks the couple’s second wedding anniversary.

Lopez — who has recently been seen wearing her wedding ring — listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024, as per legal docs seen by DailyMail.com.

The pair’s marital strife began just days after their Georgia wedding – when they honeymooned in Italy in August 2022.   

A source told PageSix: ‘When they weren’t in front of the cameras. They would barely speak to each other during what was supposed to be the happiest time of their life. 

‘He sold her on him being a changed man, and that lasted a very short time.’

They also claimed that Ben – who has publicly battled with his sobriety – ‘started craving more privacy, and he could no longer take Lopez’s level of celebrity.

They added: ‘He doesn’t want [the entourage] and all the drama that comes with that in his home,” the source said.
