Jeremy Lin Helps Knicks Defeat the Raptors
So it’s basketball season? I guess? I don’t know anything. Literally ANYTHING much about basketball, but even I have being hearing the excited murmurs of friends claiming that a new messiah has come to the sport, and his name is Jeremy Lin. An Asian-American Harvard economics graduate, Jeremy Lin is not the person you would expect to make waves in the basketball world, but time and time again, conceptions are shattered and the exception becomes the rule: and Jeremy Lin is pretty f***ing fantastic at basketball.
Before February 2nd, Lin hadn’t been seen much at all, but during a game against the Nets, he took off running – scoring 25 points and becoming a darling to basketball fans everywhere. Last night, the Linsanity (I didn’t make that up. That’s what they’re calling it) continued as Lin took the Knicks from trailing behind the Toronto Raptors to winning the game with a 3 pointer in the last .5 seconds of the game. I have to admit, it was pretty damn exciting.
Ugh. First football and now basketball? Next thing you know I’m going to start being interested in baseball too. HAHA JUST KIDDING BASEBALL IS THE WORST.
Check out this video of Jeremy Lin putting the Raptors back where they belong: The Cretaceous period. RIGHT? RIGHT??? Sigh. Nevermind.
