Question: what is the best gift a woman can give herself for her 40th birthday? Answer: POSING NAKED IN PLAYBOY, DUH.

That’s exactly what Jenny McCarthy has decided to do, according to StarPulse.com. The 39-year-old, who turns the big 4-0 in November, will be featured in a pictorial for the July issue, alongside an “explosive” new interview with ex-Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen.

It makes sense for Miss McCarthy to celebrate her trip over the hill with a nude appearance in Playboy, as it is the men’s mag that initially propelled her to stardom – she started as a model for them in 1993 and was even selected as their Playmate of the Year. It was then that she moved on the dating show of my generation, Singled Out, and then on to parody movies like BASEketball and Scary Movie 3.

I gotta admit I’m interested to see the pictorial. I mean, Playboy airbrushes their models to the point of no return, so I’m sure it will look fantastic either way, and plus, when you look like this in your late 30s:
