It’s official – our lord and savior Shawn Carter aka H.O.V.A aka Jay-Z has proclaimed that he supports gay marriage, so all you remaining folks who still weren’t sure about your position on the matter can finally rest your case. After Barack Obama’s recent announcement that he is in favor of legalizing gay marriage, many celebrities and figureheads have shown their support for the POTUS, and Jay-Z, king of hip hop himself, is the most recent to show solidarity with Team Equality.

He said to CNN:

“I’ve always thought it as something that was still holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That’s their business. It’s no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination plain and simple…I think it’s the right thing to do, so whether it costs him votes or not – again, it’s not about votes. It’s about people. It’s the right thing to do as a human being.”

Welp, that’s that, folks. Pack up your anti-gay marriage signs and store your Bibles in an upright and locked position, because it looks like everyone is finally on the same side. Except Bristol Palin, but no one cares about that balloon of cashews.
