Jason Kidd Got a DUI
What a bummer day this is, huh? First we saw that abomination of a music video from Trace Cyrus, and then I accidentally stumbled upon Octomom’s stripper pictures, and now I hear that Mavericks point guard (and soon-to-be NY Knick) Jason Kidd was arrested early Sunday morning for driving under the influence.
According to TMZ, the NBA baller partied at nightclub SL East in New York for several hours Saturday night, enough that he allegedly had to be “carried out” of the nightclub. Less than an hour after that, he crashed his vehicle into a telephone pole and was subsequently arrested for a DWI.
Kidd, who signed a 3 year, $9.5 million deal with the Knicks on July 5, had spent the earlier part of the evening at an event honoring George Lucas, and tweeted a photo of himself and the legendary director. That photo is a far cry from his mug shot, though, which shows him sporting a bruised cheek and a definite “I done goofed” face. Reports claim that Kidd’s friends tried to stop him from driving away from the club, but he insisted. We bet he might be feeling a teensy bit of regret today.
