Jamie Foxx’s Transformation is GOALS
At 52, people don’t generally expect you to get shredded. Maybe they’ll give you a pat on the back for losing 5 pounds or getting yourself to do 20 crunches a day, but to get more ripped than you’ve ever been? That’s just straight bad ass – and it’s exactly what Jamie Foxx did while preparing for his role as heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson in an upcoming movie.
The project has been in development for years, but now Foxx, 52, looks ready to get into the ring and start filming, as he showed off his newly bulked-up frame on Thursday, during an episode of Catching Up with Mark Birnbaum on Instagram.
It seems Foxx is also putting in the hard work to transform his body, and revealed that his daily workout regimen now consists of doing 60 pull ups, 60 dips, and 100 push ups.
The actor explained that he aims to be 216lbs when filming starts and he plays a younger version of the boxer, and then he will ‘balloon to 225, 230 which will look like 250 on screen.’
Now THAT is an impressive workout for anyone, let alone a guy who can ALMOST get the senior special at Denny’s. But in case you were thinking, well what about LEG DAY, DUDE? Well, Jamie says that’s a battle not worth fighting:
‘I ain’t got no legs, I ain’t got no calf muscles so we’re gonna have to get some prosthetics for that,’ Foxx said.
LOL.
