Is Selena Gomez’s New Song A Bieber Diss?
Selena Gomez hasn’t come out with a single in 4 years, and it appears as though her rebirth into the music industry comes with a helping of shade. According to DailyMail, fans are speculating that her new song, “Lose You To Love Me” is all about her on-again, off-again, MEGA dramatic relationship with newly married Justin Bieber.
Fans have been speculating the song is about saying goodbye to her ex Justin Bieber and closing the door on that chapter of her life – with the lyrics including a line about Selena being ‘replaced’ within two months.
Justin got back together with his now wife Hailey Baldwin just two months after he parted ways from Selena in 2017.
Revealing she is feeling stronger and more confident now that she’s single, the chorus goes: ‘We’d always go into it blindly / I needed to lose you to find me / This dancing was killing me softly / I needed to hate you to love me, yeah’.
Selena’s new lyrics hint at a toxic relationship and someone taking pleasure in hurting her.
‘You promised the world and I fell for it / I put you first and you adored it / Set fires to my forest / And you let it burn… / You got off on the hurtin’, she sings.
However, the clearest clue comes with the line: ‘You turned me down and now it’s showing / In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it.’
We wonder if JB will hear the song and come crawlin back… since we predicted his marriage won’t last anyway… hmm.
