So, you thought that attempting to mug an MMA fighter was bad? Well, at least Anthony Miranda didn’t KNOW the dude was a professional ass-kicker. In this next dumb-ass criminal story, we may have found someone even MORE deserving of a Darwin award! Mr. Timothy Randall Clark must be a few brain cells short of a full set, because he decided recently to rob a Wal-Mart in his hometown of Maryland on the one day a year that 50 or so cops were swarming the store.

The store’s annual “Shop With a Cop” day was in full effect when Wal Mart loss prevention officers spotted the gangly 22-year-old ripping open boxes and shoving video game (of course) into his clothing. On any normal day their next step would likely be to call the police, but on this lucky day there were 4 dozen of them standing within the building’s walls. They alerted the police officers, who apprehended the suspect in the parking lot and found him with “26 Play Station and Xbox games, two controllers, and several other video game accessories which were concealed inside his pants and sweatshirt” totaling over $600 in stolen merchandise. He was arrested and charged with theft, although I suppose he probably made those cops’ day.

“How was the community outreach day, sweetie?”

“Well, some f***ing idiot tried to rob the Wal Mart WHILE WE WERE IN THE STORE, if that’s what you’re asking.”

I’ve seen some dumb criminals in my life, but this might actually be the dumbest. Congrats, sir!
