Of the 9 movies nominated for Oscars this season, I have seen one of them (it was Beasts of the Southern Wild and it was f***ing great – go watch it now). So you can imagine how little I’ve cared about this award season. Sure I like seeing the terrible fashion choices and the batshit crazy speeches, but the whole seven hour award-show experience is something I just refuse to watch. I have better things to do, like watch seven hours of Downton Abbey (also fantastic. Also watch.).

However, I’ve gotta give props to relative newcomer Jennifer Lawrence, who first hit the scene in 2010 when the Academy nominated her for best actress in Winter’s Bone, a stellar movie she filmed when she was only 19. She went on to do The Hunger Games and is now nominated for Silver Linings Playbook. Besides being a terrific actress, Jennifer is known for being incredibly down to earth and sometimes awkward, and oh yeah did I mention

SUPER DUPER FREAKING HOT?
