As summer slowly turns into fall (really, really slowly if you’re in southern California – it’s still in the mother-effing 90s here), we start looking for a new trait for ladies: the ability to pull off sexy while wearing way more clothes than usual. Instead of drooling over the obviously sizzling woman in a bikini, we now have to examine who looks sexy in a sweater and tight jeans, for example. Or in the case of this week’s Hump Day Hottie, who looks great in a shirt dress and tights with boots.

Everyone say hello to Hayden Panettiere. Hello Hayden!

Sure, she may not invoke the same kind of reaction one might have had to say, Joanna Krupa washing a Ferrari in just a bathing suit, but the love we have for Hayden is much more subtly sexy. While out promoting her new show Nashville that looks super cheesy, she shares with us just a hint of cleavage, fresh face, and tiny waist. I imagine it makes guys want to bring her home to mom (and then do other things later once that shirt dress comes off. Sorry Hayden. We were all thinking it.) Plus, as a fellow shortie (Hayden is only 5’2), I feel a special bond with her.

Sorry for the lady talk. Let’s be honest, Hayden is bangin’. And for that, we honor her with our weekly Hump Day Hottie award. Congrats, Claire Bennett. You deserve it!
