Higher Testosterone in Women Has Strange Effect
There are many women in the world who are unable, for a plethora of reasons, to achieve orgasm with a partner. Whether it’s a level of self-consciousness or a medical issue, some ladies out there have to take to self-pleasure to get their rocks off.
New research, however, is showing that there might be ANOTHER reason some women would rather get off solo – their testosterone levels! According to Jezebel,
A study out of the University of Michigan has determined that women with a wealth of male hormones are actually more prone to masturbate and less likely to want to have sex with a partner. 105 men and 91 women were pulled and asked questions about their sex life as well as undergoing a cheek swab to determine testosterone levels. As it turns out, the amount of hormones in a man’s system has nothing to do with how often he thinks about masturbation or sex. But on the other hand (your primary hand being busy, doy), women with high testosterone levels are less likely to want sex, preferring instead to masturbate. This is corroborated by the fact that women in long-term relationships have lower testosterone.
It seems like every day new research is showing that sex is more complicated than we ever could have imagined. That’s a good thing, we think, because it shows that the traditional (archaic) idea that sex is supposed to be a post-marriage, only-for-procreation, one man/one woman thing isn’t the case at all… there are a million other factors that can alter the sexual experience for us humans!
Still, we extend an apology to all the ladies whose chemistries are messing up their desire for an awesome booty call! Knock it off, testosterone!
