Harvard Recognizes Official BDSM Club
Woo woo! Harvard joins the Dark Side (as in sexy and sultry dark, not EVIL SATAN dark) by officially recognizing its first ever BDSM club. According to Gawker (and Harvard’s publication, The Crimson), a group of 30+ students have been meeting secretly on campus for over a year, discussing bondage, domination/submission, and more, and their fledgling club has just recently received recognition by the Ivy League school’s Committee on Student Life.
Now, instead of sneaking around to meet, Harvard College Munch (I know, ew, but apparently it’s a common term) members can meet freely, and encourage membership around campus with flyers, and are eligible for DAPA food grants. Basically, the acknowledgment shows that sexual fetishes, like any other hobby or interest, don’t have be considered repulsive or shameful. Sure, you might not be into “feeding,” or the practice of force-feeding a partner so they intentionally gain weight, I definitely am not, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be discussed in a safe, respectful manner.
We give props to Harvard for being open-minded and accepting of a group of sexually adventurous people. And to the Harvard College Munch – go get your kink on!
