Grasshoppers, Nails, Push Pins Found in Cafeteria Food
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that BCU is WINNING! when it comes to predictions. For example, remember when we said 2011 was going to be Year of the Public Brawl and then it totally, totally was? Obviously we were also right about this year being the year of finding sh** in your drinks and/or food because according to Gothamist, Fordham University’s dining hall was recently given a head shake of disapproval when inspectors found grasshoppers, nails, push pins, and evidence of vermin in their food supplies.
And it’s not just Fordham, many of New York’s schools have been scoring massive violations for such things as “hot and cold foods not being held at adequate temperatures, bare hand contact with ready to eat foods, lack of an employee hand washing facility in food preparation area, displayed food not protected from possible patron contamination.” I would venture to say that if you’re a student at a college in New York, it’s time to starting packing lunch, unless you’d like a side of hardware and insects with your crappy pizza.
