Are you a guy who feels bad when your friend gets rejected? Or gets a little heartache when those “save the children” commercials come on? Turns out that might mean you’re better in the sack!

According to LiveScience, a recent study performed at Johns Hopkins revealed that selfish dudes might not actually be as good in bed as culture and TV shows imply they are. Unlike Jon Hamm’s character in Bridesmaids (HAVE YOU SEEN IT YET? JEEZ), this study shows that empathetic (definition: “showing empathy or ready comprehension of others’ states”)  guys are enjoy giving more pleasure, compared to those who are not as aware of others feelings.

Women who enjoy sex, on the other hand, are those who had high self-esteem and consider themselves autonomous, because they were able to “break down impediments to sexual communication and exploration.”

So apparently, the perfect match for a world-class romp would be a well-adjusted, independent woman and a caring, attentive guy. WHO’DATHUNKIT.
