Remember the SHOCK and OUTRAGE that Christina Aguilara induced back in when she released the music video for her song Drrty? That song is practically Rated G compared to the raunchy tunes we all love now. And it seems like at this year’s Peoples’s Choice Awards, Xtina wanted to remind us that she was the original dirty girl by rocking an outfit eerily similar to her costume for that vid. Via DM:

Christina Aguilera gave a nod to the iconic look from her Dirrty music video as she scooped her Music Icon gong at the People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday night.

The Genie in a Bottle songstress, 40, put on a sexy display in black and yellow chaps and a bodysuit for the star-studded event at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

She recreated a version of the classic look from the video of her 2002 song Dirrty which was the the first single released from her fourth studio album and saw her strip down to a range of sexy outfits and parade around a boxing ring. 

We gotta admit, it’s nice to be reminded of more innocent times… like ol’ 2002. Damn.
