@CocaoMix – No one EVER said that it’s ‘solely the responsibility of women’ to protect yourselves. Wow! I cannot BELIEVE you’d make such an idiotic statement after reading this AND while carrying the knowledge that YOU WOMEN HAVE MORE THAN 30 forms of birth control available to you. And for GOOD REASON, TOO. Because… YES. You ARE the ones who bare most of the responsibility considering you HAVE so many options PLUS are most often the ones who are ‘stuck with the children’ AFTER failing to take the necessary precautions. You sound like another FemiNazi.

Back to the article at hand. I do hope that, as the editor’s stated, this ‘new & improved’ female condom offers a ‘skin-on-skin’ feeling similar to what unprotected sex offers, because simply re shaping it to that of a woman’s vaginal opening would be a SERIOUS waste of funding AND a blatant display of moronic thinking on the part of the (so-called) ‘researchers’.

Very well-written article, also. Bravo, BCU Girl. Bravo. =)

Really!?? Smh that’s just incredulous. Now women have to wear the condom too? Let’s take count. Birth control pills, birth control shots, iud, nuva ring, morning after pill, plan b, tubal ligation, abortion, and if all else fails we have to carry deliver and care for the children. When did birth control become solely the responsibity of women?
