BDSMers Have Better Mental Health
If you’ve been curious about bringing some handcuffs or a ball-gag into your sex life, but have always been nervous, here’s a reason to get out there and buy some scandalous gear: it may mean you are mentally more healthy than more prudish folks!
That’s right – according to the Huffington Post, “researchers found that people who were involved in BDSM — bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism — scored better on certain indicators of mental health than those who did not bring kink into the bedroom.”
Although in the past people have assumed that kinkier sexual behaviors are related to prior abuse or sexual misconduct, it turns out that peeps who like a little choking in the bedroom are actually MORE mentally stable than their “vanilla” peers.
What does this mean for you weekend? Why not try something a little out of your comfort zone in the bedroom! Or head over to a store like The Stockroom and make a couple adventurous purchases. It’s good for your health!
