Adrian Peterson Arrested for… Um… Resisting Arrest
Known for being a pretty chill guy, the news that Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested in a Houston nightclub last week comes as quite a surprise. According to TMZ, Peterson was OBLITERATED drunk and uncharacteristically cocky when he got into the brawl at Live at Bayou Place, after the bartender failed to serve him a drink after last call. Via TMZ:
“According to (nightclub manager) Maher, that’s when he intervened, but Peterson continued to be “unreasonable.” That’s when Maher says the off-duty cop intervened, and, as TMZ first reported, Peterson proceeded to shove him.
Maher says during his confrontation with the officer, Peterson assumed a fight stance and looked “like he meant business.” Maher says, “He looked really scary and I thought he was gonna attack the cops.”
He went on to say that AP apologized for his behavior and claimed he doesn’t normally drink, but he was still arrested for resisting arrest with bail set at $1000. He was released on bail the next morning.
A rep for the team “We are aware of the situation and are gathering more information. At this point, we will have no further comment.”
Uh ohhhh. Dude’s gonn’ be in TROOOOUBLE.
