A for Effort, Jarrett Jack
We have seen some AWESOME basketball moves at the OBC offices, and also some terrible ones. Great ones that come to mind? Blake Griffin’s hand switch mid dunk. This bad-ass Dwayne Wade and Lebron James alley-oop. This teenager’s epic buzzer-beater that ended with someone getting a mouthful of ball. And of course, Taj Gibson’s dunk on the aforementioned Mr. Wade in the most-watched game of basketball in cable television history.
On the other hand, there have been some cringe-worthy moments in the sport as well. Like when Will Bynum got suspended for his little temper tantrum on the court. Or when Serge Ibaka punched Blake Griffin in the nuts. And then there’s the kid who scored a buzzer-beater point – for the other team.
This week’s basketball moment falls somewhere in the middle. The Warriors point guard Jarrett Jack really, REALLY wanted to score a final point at the buzzer for his team so he took a WILD throw from half-court. He put in the effort and had the passion. Let’s just say… the skill, um… wasn’t there.
