Brett Favre “Retiring” “Probably” “Maybe”
It’s that time of the year, everyone. The ice is melting, the sun is shining, and the flowers are blooming. THAT’S RIGHT– it’s Brett Favre retirement discussion season! What joy!
According to Fox Sports, two sources have claimed that Favre turned in his retirement papers on Monday. Although this doesn’t really mean much and he can still change his mind just like he did in the 1876, 2008 and 2009 off-season, most bets are leaning towards the quadragenarian actually calling it quits this year, after a season punctuated by injuries and scandal (re: hot Jets ladies, awkward voicemails, penis shots, and Crocs), he’s going to finally take that nap he’s been waiting for the past 80 years.
Shall we begin taking bets? Is Brett for real this time or not? I just heard a rumor that he might go to the Bills, which would kind of be great because he’d be the first person to QB from a wheelchair which could potentially be awesome. My vote, though, says he’s gonna keep his promise this year. Even if he wanted to keep playing, I think his body will finally begin decomposing the second he puts on a helmet again, so it’s safe to say we can expect him as… hmm… maybe a Fox sports analyst? Assuming they have a spot for his oxygen tank under the desk? HA! GET IT? OLD JOKES.
