Happy Monday, readers! As we begin another week, it’s time to celebrate the unexplainable inventions of our time. From the Snuggie to the Slap-Chop to that blanket that looks like a burqa, I’m just waiting for a museum to open that showcases all of the ridiculous inventions that our generation has dreamt up.

Like, for example, this bra slash gas mask that premiered at last years IgNobel prizes, the pre-Nobel Prize award show hosted by Harvard-based humor magazine “Annals of Improbable Research.” According to its creator, while its first use may be to lift and separate, it also doubles as a pair of gas masks in case of biological attack. So, in case of SARS outbreak, remember: your boobs are immune to viruses. Your lungs are not!
