The Bouquet Bandit Gets Caught
If you were to think of a New Yorker committing a felony, the last thing you’d think would be that he’d be polite about it, right? I mean, New Yorkers are generally not even polite about going through doors you’re holding for them (I’m still holding that grudge from the Blimpie’s on 42nd three years ago, Mr. Rude Guy in the Suit!!!). And yet, a bank robber (seen above) in Manhattan was just absolutely a doll when he stormed in to steal money from two banks in the past month, both times presenting the teller with a bouquet of flowers, which bore little cards that said, “Hand me all your 100s and 50s, don’t be a hero.” How SWEET, right? I mean, he could have come in all angry-like, brandishing a knife and shouting, but instead he probably gave the teller a swell of self-confidence before scaring the living s*** out of her.
Best part of the story is that according to CBS, when police caught the bandit, AKA Edward Pemberton (ARE YOU KIDDING ME), he remained “a gentleman throughout.”
What is going on in the world?!
