5 Things to Do On Tuesdays Now That Lost is Over
I have to admit I was never bitten by the Lost bug, the same bug that took 6 years of brainpower off friends’ lives. Their Tuesday nights were spent with the same confused look on their face that I get when I look at Bret Michaels bandana hair, and every end of the show was riddled with shouts of anger and frustration. Why did people put up with a show that was more work to follow than 12th grade AP Calculus worksheets? I guess I’ll never know. Now that the show is over, though, I feel that I can help you all get through the next few Tuesday nights of Lost withdrawals with a few handy tips.
1. Re-watch the whole season
I know that in an effort to keep the dream alive, many die-hard Lost fans will download all the episodes and watch them again, but trust me: this is not healthy. I rewatch episodes of my favorite cancelled TV show (Arrested Development) and all it leads to is nostalgia and tearful anger that it’s not on anymore. Don’t download the episodes, and just keep Lost in your heart like an old friend. An old friend who made you so mad one time you vomited.
2. Get into a new Tuesday night show
Summer programming, historically, has nothing to offer. This year is nothing different, but it doesn’t mean you can’t start following a terrible show just to fill your time. TNT is premiering a new show whose title even sounds like an 80s crapfest: Memphis Beat. Ugh. It sounds like Chuck Norris’ first country-rap album, and with characters named Dwight Hendricks and Tanya Rice, you’re guaranteed to have a few laughs at the expense of bland, boring acting, and unintelligible writing.
3. Go outside
I know, it’s a little on the extreme side, but it’s getting warmer, and you could technically spend a couple nights a week out with friends or something. Baby steps though, you haven’t been outside on a Tuesday night in 3 months, and you don’t want to hurt yourself.
4. Join a Lost fansite forum
Unless you plan on ever having sex again.
5. Wonder angrily how Dominic Moynahan ever dated Evangeline Lilly
Sure there were tons of mysteries throughout the six seasons of Lost. The show was phenomenal at creating tangled story lines that left you baffled and resentful. But if you ask me, the most mysterious situation of all six seasons is how creepy little Dominic Moynahan dated the brunette bombshell Evangeline Lilly. It’s an outrage, really, and if you really analyze every aspect of it, you could probably fill a solid six weeks of Tuesdays.
Perfect timing, too, cause then you can start watching Memphis Beat, and spend the summer wondering when Jason Lee’s life took such a depressing turn, and by then, your aching heart should be healed.
Good luck!

From Wikipedia: “He has dated his Lost co-star Evangeline Lilly since 2004. But their romance ended, after three years, in 2007.”

Well actually he dated Maggie Clare, but yeah..I do agree with the “ridiculously out of league” part.
