You might have heard that 60-year-old Tom Watson has been doing uncharacteristically well at the Masters, which has put him at the top of the leaderboard after today’s first round of play.  In fact, despite being one of the oldest players in the game, he’s matched his lowest score at the Masters in 37 years. However, this charming old-guy-succeeds story isn’t the only interesting thing about Tom Watson. What you might not know is that aside from golf, he’s good at being a shameless hypocrite, who we believe is trying to seduce Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren. Don’t believe us? 1. Tom Watson has publicly bashed Tiger Woods

In a recent interview, Watson was quoted saying that Tiger Woods should “clean up his act,” “get his personal life in order,” and “show some humility.” A little harsh to publicly announce of someone you share the golf course with, don’t you think?

But hey, Tom Watson is happily married, you say. However, that fairy tale marriage isn’t what you might think either…

2. Tom Watson has stolen a fellow golfer’s wife before

Tom Watson was married for 22 years to a woman named Linda, and they had two children together. In 1999, after so many years together, a sudden, seemingly unprovoked divorce occurred. Then, only 2 years later, Tom shocked the world by breaking up the marriage of fellow golfer Denis Watson (no relation) and his wife Hilary. They were married the same year. Shady, isn’t it?

3. Watson is trying to impress Elin with his golf skills

As we noted earlier, Tom Watson is doing better than ever this year at the Masters. In past years, he’s had a tendency to play very well until the end, and then crash and burn with bogeys. Although he’s definitely a decent player, he’s always fallen short of players like Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods. This year, however, he seems to be striving to play better than ever, perhaps to impress the newly spurned Elin Nordegren?

4. Elin is vulnerable and on the rebound

After the shocking allegations of infidelity, public shame, and constant media attention, Elin Nordegren must be feeling sensitive and exposed, and possibly looking for a new man in her life. Furthermore, she’s used to the wealth and class associated with the golfing lifestyle.

But why would Tom Watson prey on Elin Nordegren, you’re wondering?

5. Elin Nordegren looks like a younger, hotter version of his current wife.

Tom Watson has shown that he has no problem bashing on, and even stealing the wife of his fellow golfers. And with his recent scrutiny of Tiger’s private life, he shows he’s not above being a complete hypocrite. Elin’s vulnerability and striking resemblance to Tom’s current wife are the cherry on the evidence cake.
