5 Tips for Making a Sex Tape
If you’ve ever had an especially sexy relationship, you’ve probably had the thought that you want to save these memories in a way that you could relive them in the future. As in: sex tape. But with the many sex tape mishaps of the past century, plus the many amateur sex tapes that are just ew, it may seem like a recipe for disaster. Over on VICE, a porn star named Esluna Love is sharing her top tips for making a safe, sexy sex tape. Here they are:
1. Ask everyone for consent
“Whether it’s a sex tape for your private collection or something you want to put online, there’s one golden rule: consent. Every person involved has to consent to being filmed.”
2. Think about anonymity
On the off chance it gets out – your best bet for keeping your sanity is to know that you won’t be recognized. So don’t film faces, or add a dash of kink by going with a wig or mask.
3. Work with people you trust
If the person you’re with is sexy AF, but maybe not so trustworthy, it’s probably not a great idea to give them access to a video of you in your most vulnerable.
4. Experiment with the camera
“Of course, you can put your camera on a tripod and forget you were filming in the first place, but it can be satisfying to turn your sex session into a work of art,” Love says.
Maybe have one of the people involved hold the camera, or take turns!
5. Choose the right lightning
Love enjoys filming in daylight, preferably with sunlight streaming into the room. Whatever you do, repeat after us: NO FLUORESCENT LIGHTING!
