I remember eating at a Vietnamese pho restaurant recently, and someone at my table ordered spring rolls. I’ve never been a fan of the cold, slightly slimy texture of spring rolls, and my opinion was definitely not changed by my friend, who said, “I love em. It’s like eating vegetables out of a condom.”

YUCK.

Now whenever I think of spring rolls, I’m going to think of a Trojan stuffed with rice noodles and shrimp. ::shudder::

This gag-worthy thought has now been made real by Kyosuke Kagami, writer of the manga Sentou Hakai Gakuen Dangerous, who claims he wanted to spread awareness of safe sex because Japanese men are notorious for being terrible at wearing condoms. However, I’m not sure recipes for “Condom Meat Stuffing” and “Condom Escargot” are the way to solve this important issue.
